Foresight Imaging Extends the AccuStream Series

(Lowell, MA – October 1, 2007) Foresight Imaging extends the popular and high performance AccuStream™ Series of frame grabbers & video streamers with the introduction of the AccuStream 50 and AccuStream 75 boards. These new boards join the AccuStream 170 benchmark board for high speed and high resolution video streaming from VGA, DVI, monochrome, and other high resolution video sources. AccuStream is the most advanced, most versatile board series ever designed by Foresight Imaging. It is specifically designed for the 64 bit, 66 MHz PCI bus and provides up to 170 MHz and 2048 x 2048 video input from RGB, YPbPr, DVI, and monochrome video sources.

Our customers have requested lower priced products in our AccuStream Series. With the new AccuStream 50 & 75, we have delivered this while at the same time maintaining the high performance capabilities that AccuStream is known for: sustained bus transfers at 250 MB/second for high speed video streaming as well as DVI, RGB, and monochrome video capture on one board," said Tony Molinari, Vice President, Marketing & Business Development.

About the AccuStreamSeries
AccuStream delivers the highest accuracy RGB video images and high-speed video streaming at 250 MB/second. AccuStream supports pixel input rates up to 170 MHz. It accepts up to three monochrome or one RGB, YPbPr, or DVI (Digital Visual Interface) video input from non-standard and standard video sources. Video digitization is 8 bit monochrome or 24 bit color. Contributing to its superior accuracy, AccuStream features extremely low pixel jitter of ±0.5 ns and a signal-to-noise ratio of 47 dB. Powered by its high speed 64 bit, 66 MHz PCI bus mastering design, scatter-gather technology, and double buffering, AccuStream supports 250 MB/second sustained PCI bus transfers to accommodate the most demanding video streaming applications. Active RGB, YPbPr, DVI, or monochrome loop-through output is provided to eliminate the need for a separate, active video splitter. AccuStream supports simultaneous real-time display via real-time transfer of images directly to display card memory. The AccuStream 50 can acquire from video sources up to 50 MHz, the AccuStream 75 can acquire from video sources up to 75 MHz, and the AccuStream 170 can acquire from video sources up to 170 MHz.

Software Support
The AccuStream Series is supported by Auto-SYNC™, Foresight Imaging's revolutionary automated configuration software. Auto-SYNC automatically analyzes the incoming non-standard or standard video signal and configures the frame grabber to acquire high precision images from that video source. AccuStream is supported by the IDEA™ (Imaging Development Environment for Applications) software development kit. IDEA supports the AccuStream and I-Series™ product families so that once an application is written with IDEA, users have support for all of these boards without re-writing their software. Also included is a VESA mode video detection application for instantly locking to any VESA type video signal. A complete Video for Windows driver is included with VESA mode detection and video streaming capabilities. Extensive example programs (with source code) for acquisition, video streaming (with or without compression), graphic overlays, triggering, and more are included with each AccuStream board. Support is included for 64 bit Windows and .NET application development.

Pricing and Availability
AccuStream is available now. Pricing starts at $1,295 for end users, quantity one. Volume and OEM discounts are available.
